ADDY^® Awards

The Shreveport-Bossier Advertising Federation ADDY^® Awards Competition is the first of a three-tiered national competition conducted annually by the American Advertising Federation (AAF). The ADDY^® Awards Competition is the industry’s largest and most representative competition for creative excellence. Entry into the ADDY^® Awards supports our entire industry, because AAF and its local and district membership use the proceeds to enhance advertising through programs such as internships, advocacy groups and advertising education.

The AAF's ADDY^® Awards honor creative excellence in advertising and cultivate the highest creative standards in the industry. Beginning with the 210 AAF member clubs around the country, the AAF conducts 14 district ADDY^® Award competitions. Those winners proceed to the national finals. Final awardees will be celebrated at the National ADDY Awards Show.

The Jim Leslie Scholarship

The Shreveport-Bossier Advertising Federation honors the late Jim Leslie with this scholarship by (1) assisting needy scholars in communications-related curricula; (2) encouraging our brightest and best to complete their formal education; and (3) providing an ongoing source of trained professionals who will hopefully bring their talents to work in our Shreveport-Bossier marketplace.

SBAF Image Award

The "Image Award," previously called the Best Ad for Shreveport (-Bossier added later), has been presented annually by the Shreveport-Bossier Advertising Federation since 1950 (honoring 1949's winner).

The Award honors that person or group which, during the previous year, brought regional, national or international attention and prestige to the cities.

A brief review of past winners and their accomplishments confirms both the magnitude and the diversity of acclaim showered upon them and us. SBAF has honored theaters, musical organizations, civic groups, and a multitude of champions in a wide range of athletics and activities. Even our own beautiful Shreveport Rose.
